Earth origin humans are exploring the neighboring systems and starting to stretch their interstellar legs. Meeting new beings peacefully should be the highest outcome of this endeavor to merge with a Trade Alliance. Tolar is a world easily reachable in stellar terms and is populated by humanoid beings who visibly resemble pre-industrial humans.
Appearances are deceiving. An excellent novella constructed in the form of two versions of the first contact story told from two points of view. The editing of this work is top notch. Five out of five stars.
