Well since completing the yard remodel I’ve seldom taken an opportunity to just sit with my camera and enjoy. Today was one of those times and I finally captured a hummingbird in pictures…at my house, YEAH!!!
Opening scene, a chickadee chills on a branch surveying the rebuilt bird feeder and some idiot ring-neck doves and Jays trying to figure things out.

Then commences the hyper attack of the of the nectar gathering Hummingbird…on expresso!

Saw this fine specimen in the pasture behind my house. Think he had just finished breakfast.
That’s with the 75-300 mm zoom. I have to start practicing with the 1000 mm telephoto.
