My Take:

 

This series follow on the heels of the Blackfleet Series which I will review later on.  Captain Wright had been tasked with trying to track down an elusive new enemy to humans that not only have a technological edge but also a vehement hatred of humans.

I found the writing of the characters extremely well done and the action did not lag in building detail.  Excellent book and a wonderful start to a new series.  Five out of five geek score points!

Deadtree then Audiobook Review: Breaking down the barrier to the Beyond

The Reality Dysfunction.

Written by Peter F. Hamilton.  Narrated by John Lee.

Absolutely immersing literature never mind that the deadtree version is thick as a Washington DC phone book.  The characters are developed and you feel what they feel.  The first breaking into the Beyond occurs because an Involuntary Transport (IVET) named Quinn Dexter conducts a Satanic ritual on a stage 1 colony planet called Lalonde.  The ritual doesn’t cause it so much as something else, something curious, something alien with enough energy to hold the door open to the insane souls scrambling through to possess living humans.

Read this then listened to it on audible.  Out standing.  Five by Five for storytelling, and delivery.

Comic Book Review: Indies from Fort Collins Comic Con Gannon Beck.

An excellent offering in Space Opera Military SciFi has come from this clan for Indie heroes.  The only thing I find a bit daunting is giving you a link to get more.

Space Corps has hundreds of different species of Sentient beings serving in its ranks yet they soldier on and get the job done.  Four out of five chevrons and rockers here.
