Double Occupancy

Casey is a very capable reporter. She has climbed her way to the peak of her career before the age of thirty through hard work, excellent writing and taking on the challenging stories that move people to action. Though she has attained the highest award available in that line of work she is burned out and unhappy. All that success as a career woman and her insecurities about her looks, her height and the mirror-reinforced fact that she will never be Twiggy have teamed up to make her very depressed and lonely.
Deciding to chuck it all she tells her boss she is quitting and takes his offer to use his Mexican hide-away to write her novel. The novel is not the only thing she discovers there.
I truly enjoyed this story. The author takes us inside the mind of a woman who should be on top of the world and treats us to the disassembly of rational thought at least three times which gives the main character depth. The sub-plot to turn loose what you love and see if it comes back occurs more than once in this work with the same result which really stacks up the evidence that somebody is…insane.
The was a fun book to read and an excellent vacation for the mind. Some editing flubs could be fixed but they did not interfere with enjoying the story. Four out of five orgasmic units joy are hereby awarded.
