These books are full of enjoyable story lines. Some involve a welfare economy child who becomes King of the Hanziatic League, Roamers who mine gas giants for a derivative of Hydrogen called ecty for use in all known starship drives, Green skinned Thorock humans who can telepathically communicate across the galaxy as long as they have contact with a tree of the World Forest, Archaeological finds in the ruins of Klickis worlds that push the imagination of physicists and much more. The Ilderans who on the surface have been benefactors to Earth and the Hanziatic League. They meddle in schemes and keep secrets at the direction of the Mage Imperator and his grasp of the soul knot called Fizm. Basil Wensalaus, the Chairman of the league uses a King to sell all of his austerity measures to a glazed over public. The enemies unveiled thus far include the Hydrogues, the Mage Imperator and Basil. This is just the tip.
Excellent books and well narrated. I have enjoyed every minute of these and intend to listen to the entire series.
