Nah, say it isn’t so. Fourteen days of potentially horrific, friend changing, fan winning (he says with a negotiators smile) blog entries that unveil facets of me that normally would see no light. I now have an insight into why authors take so long to finish their works. At least ones like me.
The synopsis, planning, writing, re-writing, proof-reading, fixing the oopsies, getting a cover made to fit the concept of the author’s work…I’m sure now that there is purpose beyond selection that delays these items. It is dread of the land of extroverts who fuel the promotion side of this activity. Now that I have been…assimilated by GMTA publishing I believe I will actually enjoy having someone else driving the promotion bus as that side was eating my soul when I was self-published.
Everyone really needs some form of creative art in their lives in order to help with emotional maintenance and discovering later in life that my form is writing has opened my world. When the pressures of tweeting, face-booking, advertising, blah-blah-blah hoot-suiting were preparing to behead my muse along came Kitty Bullard and GMTA. I am now looking forward to getting back to my art in a more determined fashion and helping the promo wagon along when needed rather than doing it all.
Destined for…Something has been my fifth entry into the Next You Universe and it is by no means my last. The sixth will be a four book mini-arc which I will release when all four are done, nothing left hanging. Any of you who have looked at my website will know I have a list of synopses there that keeps growing. As I finish more of the works I have to take time to go back and ret-con occasionally to make sure I’m staying straight. Even though I write them as being stand alones I still want you to read them all, I don’t have a favorite. So that is why things will start taking more time along with family -friend interactions, keeping my job as a chemist and escaping into the wilds whenever opportunity presents itself.
Yes I know it’s not my normal pace (eyebrows everywhere launch) having written five books in my first year but it will be my pace for now as I adjust to working with the excellent team at GMTA and As You Wish Tours. Thank you very much for reading my work.
