Let’s start this one out with a clarification. This work is Science Fiction in that it uses current technology or that which is on the very near term drawing board to spin a tale of fiction. And he won.
Shattered Legacy is about the struggle for a private enterprise company to field a space orbiter for commercial infrastructure as opposed to exploration. The story is complete with criminal acts, conspiracy, a mild love interest and the construction of a billionaire visionary (Sinclair Dorian) in love with the goal of helping the human race.
The story line and the quality of character development remind me of the things I thoroughly enjoy in the works of Tom Clancy and Ben Bova. Well done.
