While doing the web-surfing/Twitter/Facebook thing, I happened across this delightful little bit of Trek-inspired whimsy:

Despite the clues provided (first name “Tim,” or I suppose it could be the initials T.I.M.), my attempts to track down the artist responsible for this piece have come up short. I would really love to get in contact with him (or her?), so if anyone who sees this recognizes the work and can point me in the right direction, I would be most appreciative.

UPDATE: January 21, 2013 – I’m thrilled to say that I actually found the artist, through the sort of blind luck and good timing that can only happen in the modern world of social media.
