I don’t just download free books from Amazon. I’ve heard of people who have thousands of never to be read books lurking on their Kindles. Helping fellow writer’s promotions out is a completely different story. Of course I’ll support them. That’s what independent marketing is all about, and why we are all here after all. But I don’t just do free because it’s free. I prefer to pay for something that I actually want to read, and will, with a bit of luck, eventually get around to doing. Us scribblers don’t have a lot of reading time, so it’s a precious commodity, which is why it is actually quite a big deal when we read and review each others work. I haven’t read any of my true favourites for quite some time now, so I think that it is anyway.
